PRESENTATION

Producer Steve Gamester, Entertainment One Television, will join sound mixer Daniel Pellerin, Daniel Pellerin Digital Sound Production, to speak about the back story of how a new History Channel Program called “The Perfect Storms: Galveston”, was conceived and how sound and music becomes an important partner to the editing and creating the visuals, as far as the CGI and recreations of dramatic elements of the story are concerned.

We are in for a really interesting presentation of sections which is a very CGI / re-enactment heavy documentary production with very precise content requirements as far as scientific / technical / historical information is concerned, about the 1900 devastating hurricane that tore into Galveston at the turn of the century.

The segments selected will be used to illustrate and shed light on the importance of sound and music to helping the shaping and supporting of the visual ideas that are conceived to bring the content of the story to life.
